AJS Launches New Ad Campaign to Eliminate Frivolous Lawsuits in Texas
AUSTIN, TEXAS - Americans for Job Security, a pro-business issue advocacy organization, today launched new radio and online ads supporting the Creighton-Huffman Jobs and Small Business Magnet Plan (HB 274) in some Texas markets. This landmark piece of legislation would help create and attract jobs to Texas by putting an end to frivolous lawsuits which are hurting the economy and tying up the legal system.
"This legislation would boost Texas's economy by freeing small business owners from the threat of frivolous lawsuits, making the state a magnet to job creators," said Stephen DeMaura, president of Americans for Job Security. "Most often small businesses - the engines of our economy - become the targets of frivolous lawsuits, drowning these job creators in legal fees and distracting the court system from addressing legitimate claims. Protecting small businesses, the state's economy, and Texan workers, the Creighton-Huffman Jobs and Small Business Magnet Plan is a great tool for job creation and a means to ensure Texas continues to be a top relocation state for growing businesses."
The ads will air across Texas beginning on May 17.
