AJS Brings Inflatable Rat to National Labor Relations Board

- Group highlights agency's decision to allow intimidation -

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Americans for Job Security (AJS) today placed a large inflatable rat outside the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) headquarters in Washington, D.C. The effort, which occurred on the day the NLRB was to hold a hearing regarding "quickie" union elections, shed light on the agency's recent decision allowing union bosses to employ intimidation tactics in labor disputes.

"With a crippling unemployment rate of 9.2 percent, this is not the time to intimidate, handicap or attempt to manipulate small business owners," said Stephen DeMaura, president of AJS. "President Obama's so-called 'independent' NLRB seeks to marginalize small businesses, our nation's job creators, in order to push his pro-union policies. America's workforce simply can't afford their tactics."
